THIN COATED PAPER FOR MULTICOLORED OFFSET PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thin coated paper for multicolored offset printing having high glossiness of white paper and excellent printing qualities and excellent in printing operability. SOLUTION: The coated paper for multicolored offset printing is obtained by applying a coating composition containing organic hollow particles and an antistatic agent to both surfaces of a base paper mainly comprising a bleached chemical pulp and/or a deinked waste paper pulp, drying the coated material and carrying out two nipping treatments of the coated paper so that the surface and the rear of paper each come into single contact with metal rolls at 150-200°C metal roll surface temperature under 180 kg/cm to 250 kg/cm linear pressure by an inline calender roll composed of the metal roll and a resin roll. The coated paper has ≥50% glossiness of white paper (JIS P 8142) at least on one side and ≤50 g/m2basis weight. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
