Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate which is useful in preparing tricycloillicinone expected to be used as a treatment drug for Alzheimer's dementia; and a preparation method for the intermediate. SOLUTION: In the preparation method, a 1-(2-propynyl)-3-methylene-7,9-dioxa-bicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene-4-one compound represented by formula (2) is reacted with a metal carbonyl compound to give a 4,5-methylenedioxy-tricyclo[5.3.11.5.01.7]undec-3,7-diene-2,9-dione compound represented by formula (1).
