Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method for a suspension containing solid matter by which the suspension difficultly subjected to flocculation precipitation heretofore can be treated by flocculation precipitation, and to provide a treating apparatus used therefor. SOLUTION: The solid matter in the suspension can be subjected to flocculation precipitation by a method by which a cationic inorganic flocculant and an anionic polymer flocculant and/or a nonionic polymer flocculant are added to the suspension in combination. Further, the solid matter in the suspension can be subjected to flocculation precipitation by the treating apparatus with which the cationic inorganic flocculant and the anionic polymer flocculant and/or the nonionic polymer flocculant are added to the suspension in combination.
