Then, the mail receiver side portable telephone set executes a function designated by the header of a received electronic mail in the processing of a step S9, and executes processing to perform operation contents instructed by a mail transmitter at the header to the text of the electronic part, that is, operation contents such as the display, erasure, transfer, and return of the text part of the electronic mail or the like in accordance with the executing condition of the function.
