Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoresis display device which can make high-quality display with high contrast and a manufacturing method for manufacturing such electrophoresis display device in a simple manner. SOLUTION: The electrophoresis display device is constituted by fastening electrophoresis display elements obtained by housing electrophoretic particles and a dispersion medium into microcapsules only onto the patterned electrodes, thereby forming an electrophoresis display element layer between the electrodes, at least one electrode of which is the patterned electrode having the prescribed pattern.
