IMPACT BUFFER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact buffer manufacturable at low cost while preventing an appearance from being deteriorated. SOLUTION: A bumper 1 comprises a bumper face 2, an absorber 3, a reinforcement 4, and flat harness 5. Ribs 8a and 8b are formed on the bumper face 2 at the specified positions at the rear surface side non-flat portion. Also, a harness storage part 3b is formed on the absorber 3 at the bumper face 2 side end part 3a, and recessed parts 9a and 9b are formed at positions corresponding to the ribs 8a and 8b. The absorber 3 is fixed to the bumper face 2 in such a manner as piercing the recessed parts 9a and 9b to the ribs 8a and 8b. The flat harness 5 is disposed between the bumper face 2 and the absorber 3. By this structure, the minimum thickness h2 of the absorber 3 can be reduced less than before to make inconspicuous shrinkage by the ribs 8a and 8b, and the bumper 1 can be formed at low cost while preventing the appearance from being deteriorated by simplifying the mounting operation of the absorber 3.
