PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel is composed of two glass base plates 10, 20 jointed in parallel with each other. A sustaining electrode 21, a dielectric layer 22, and a protection layer are formed respectively on the glass base plate at one side 20. An address electrode structure in which a plurality of address electrode parts 11a and dielectric layer parts 11b, and a plurality of rib parts 11c are integrally formed of a prescribed metal as a base body and an insulating body formed by oxidizing the metal, are arranged on the surface of the other glass base plate 10 facing the sustaining electrode 21, and fluorescent layers 15, 16, 17 are applied on the groove of the address electrode structure 11.
