APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ROD LENS ARRAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod lens array manufacturing apparatus including a rod lens array bonding device which has simple structure and lightweight and makes accurate positioning possible. SOLUTION: The rod lens array manufacturing apparatus is equipped with: a coating device which coats a substrate constituting a rod lens array 6 with an adhesive; an array bonding device 10 which connects a plurality of rod lens arrays in a reed screen shape; and a cutting device which cuts a rod lens array original plate. The array bonding device is equipped with: a fixed plate 14 where rod lenses are temporarily arrayed on its top surface; a movable plate 22 which is capable of turning around an axis A of rotation horizontally extending above the fixed plate up to an opposite upper position above the fixed plate; guide mechanisms 30 and 34 which guide the movable plate vertically; and a biasing means 36 of biasing the movable plate to the upper position.
