Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat slide position detection device capable of detecting the relative position of an upper rail member to a lower rail member over the whole length of a movable range. SOLUTION: A plurality of magnetic field detecting member 50 is disposed relative to one side of the rail member on the straight line, and one magnetic field generating member 40 is disposed relative to the other side of the rail member. The mutual distance between the magnetic field detecting members 50 is approximately two times dimension of the pitch fixing the slide in the longitudinal direction of the upper rail member 20 relative to the lower rail member 10. The relative position of the upper rail member 20 to the lower rail member 10 is detected by detecting the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generating member 40 with one or two of the magnetic field detecting members 50.
