APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CAPTURING SYNCHRONIZATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct a high-speed cell searching by efficiently identifying a scrambling code. SOLUTION: At ST (slot timing) 201, a correlation operation between data of one symbol and a first search code is performed. At ST202, a correlation operation between the scrambling code of a known cell and a reception signal is performed concurrently with the correlation operation at ST 201 to detect path timing of the known cell. At ST 203, the slot timing of the known cell is excluded from the phase of a correlation value calculated at ST 201 i.e. slot timing, using the path timing of the known cell detected at ST 202.
