PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller which can meet even the replacement of a CPU or a substrate having the CPU mounted thereon by a simple constitution and achieves power saving. SOLUTION: Since it is necessary for a CPU to acquire a processing result after the end of processing in a processing part in order to obtain an accurate processing result from the processing part, a counter part 22 is provided which measures a processing time required for the fixed number of times of delay processing in the CPU 2. A processing speed ratio calculation part 23 is provided which compares the processing time measured by the counter part 22 with a prescribed reference time. A delay value change part 12 is provided which changes the number of times of delay processing (delay value) to be performed by the CPU 2, on the basis of a result obtained by the processing speed ratio calculation part 23.
