Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnostic device capable of determining accurately a sensor failure. SOLUTION: This failure diagnostic device 10 for diagnosing a failure of acceleration sensors 21-23 for detecting accelerations generated in the front-to-back, vertical and lateral directions of a vehicle is equipped with a failure diagnosis part 11 for inputting acceleration values G1-G3 from the acceleration sensors 21-23, and diagnosing that the acceleration sensors 21-23 fail when the inputted acceleration values G1-G3 exceed a prescribed threshold at the vehicle stop time. The failure diagnosis part 11 is characterized by setting the prescribed threshold larger than an acceleration value detected when the vehicle is tilted at the maximum nonreversible tilt angle.
