Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To variably connect a transfer engine and a retrieval engine in a network repeating device by one to many, many to one and many to many. SOLUTION: A cross bar switch 10 transfers a packet between routing processors 20. The routing processor 20 has the transfer engine 30 extracting a packet header from the packet, the retrieval engine 40 retrieving an output direction of the packet and a switch engine 50 transferring the packet to the output direction. The retrieval engine 40 and the transfer engine 30 are connected by one to one, many to one and one to many. The routing processor 20 has an architecture where the transfer engine 30 and the retrieval engine 40 are variably connected by one to many, many to one and many to many. The transfer engine 30 and the retrieval engine 40 have connection parts for variably connecting the mutual engines so that they can be connected by one to many, many to one and many to many in accordance with prescribed setting corresponding to the architectures.
