Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp unit device whose front glass can be attached to a fringe of a front opening of a concave reflecting mirror of the lamp unit device with precise position control and which can be incorporated in an optical instrument with optical precision. SOLUTION: The lamp unit 10 has the concave reflecting mirror 12, a discharge lamp 11 which is fixed inside the concave reflecting mirror and the front glass 13 which is attached to the fringe 14 of the front opening of the concave reflecting mirror. A plurality of projections 15 having a height equal to a thickness of the front glass or less, which control the front glass attaching position, and a flat portion for fixing the concave reflecting mirror to a holder, which controls the concave reflecting mirror attaching position in a fore-and-aft direction, are formed on the fringe of the concave reflecting mirror. Two portions for controlling the attaching position to the holder in a right and left direction and in a vertical direction, are formed on a periphery of the concave reflecting mirror.
