Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the occurrence of display abnormality caused by insufficient contact of a rubbing cloth arising when an alignment layer is rubbed and disturbance associated therewith. SOLUTION: A stripe-shaped transparent electrode group 3 and a stripe-shaped light reflecting metal layer consisting of a Cr film 4 and an Al film 5 are deposited on a glass substrate 2 and the parts between pixels and light transmission parts of the stripe-shaped light reflecting metal layer are patterned to be removed. An alignment layer 6 is thus formed on the stripe-shaped transparent electrode group 3 and the light reflecting metal layer. A color filter 7, an over coating layer 8 and a stripe-shaped transparent electrode group 9 are successively formed on a glass substrate 1 and an alignment layer 10 is formed on the stripe shaped transparent electrode group 9. The substrates 1 and 2 are stuck to each other via a liquid crystal layer. Transmission mode display is performed at the light transmission parts and reflection mode display is performed in a region other than the light transmission parts by disposing the slit-shaped light transmission parts at the light reflecting metal layer. A transparent resin layer is formed at the inner part of the slit shape and between the stripe-shaped laminated electrode groups and made flat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
