Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for carrying out a method for preventing the whole ink ejected from one defective nozzle among the numerous nozzles provided at a successively ejecting inkjet print head from being used in printing to a printing medium. SOLUTION: The defective nozzle is heated at a frequency higher than a frequency for periodically heating non-defective nozzles, so as to cause the defective nozzle to merely eject an ink droplet smaller than the ink droplet ejected from a non-defective nozzle. Then, the droplet having the smaller amount ejected from the defective nozzle does not reach the printing medium, and the droplet having a larger amount ejected from the non-defective nozzle reaches the printing medium.
