METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CARRIER TAPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a carrier tape which shows a stable precision of the positions of perforations of the carrier tape and an embossed part. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the carrier tape, a feeder device which intermittently transfers a specified amount of a tape for molding the carrier tape, a heating device and a molding device for molding a part of a sheet in an embossing fashion, a punching device for forming the perforations of the tape and a transfer device for transferring the punching device, are provided. As the manufacturing procedures, the embossed part is imaged using a CCD (charge coupled device) camera (1), then the image is previously stored in an image processing device and is pattern-matched with the photographically imaged embossed part in an early state by the help of the CCD camera (1) installed right after the punching device. After that, a coordinate obtained by the pattern matching is stored, then a photographic image taken by using the same CCD camera (1) after the transfer of the tape, is also pattern-matched with the coordinate and the punching device is intermmitently moved by a difference between the coordinate and the pattern-matched findings to form the tape perforations.
