Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo apparatus which has sufficient rigidity, efficiently transmits the output of a motor to a robot arm, and accurately controls the movement of the motor irrespective of its simple configuration, even when the servo apparatus is used as an actuator for driving an articulation of a robot. SOLUTION: The servo apparatus 10 comprises: a motor 11; a control unit 15 for controlling the movement of the motor; a speed reducing mechanism 14 for reducing and outputting the rotation of the motor 11; an output shaft 21 for transmitting the output of the speed reducing mechanism 14 to a member to be manipulated; a measuring means 20 for measuring the displacement of the output shaft 21; and a housing 12 for receiving the motor, the control unit, the speed reducing mechanism, the output shaft, and the measuring means. The output shaft 21 projects from both sides of the housing. The out put shaft 21 projecting from both sides of the housing is aligned with the same axis and synchronously operates.
