FASTENING DEVICE FOR ELECTRONIC-APPLIANCE HOUSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fastening devices for electronic-appliance housings whereby an electronic-appliance housing can be fastened easily to the shelf of a rack without requiring a useless space in the case of fastening. SOLUTION: In a shelf 2 of a rack, there are provided each D-shaped hole 6 having in its front a circular-arc portion with an upward cutting and in its rear a mounting portion, a sheet 7 so stuck on the top surface of the shelf 2 as to slide easily a housing 1 on it when sliding the housing 1 backward on the shelf 2 after mounting the housing 1 on the shelf 2 of the rack wherefrom the holes 6 are excluded, each presser fitting 8 for preventing the housing 1 from escaping from the shelf 2 after mounting it on the shelf 2, each screw 10 for fastening each presser fitting 8 to each tap hole 11 provided in the front portion of the shelf 2, and each protrusion 9 provided in each presser fitting 8 for preventing each presser fitting 8 from rotating when standing it vertically after fastening the housing 1 to the shelf 2. Also, the housing 1 has four legs 5 created mainly out of a resin each of which so has an inclined notch as to guide it thereby when mounting it in each D-shaped hole 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
