Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely secure a flow rate of necessary reaction air by controlling the reaction air to be an appropriate pressure even when the atmospheric pressure varies. SOLUTION: In this fuel cell system, the opening of a valve 14 to be set with respect to a required power generation amount required for a fuel cell stack 11 is set by a controller 15; and the discharged flow rate of air discharged from a compressor 12 is controlled based on measured pressure detected by a pressure sensor 13 to carry out pressure regulation. Thereby, the fuel cell system cannot secure the pressure unless the air flow rate required for the cell stack 11 is supplied in order to keep the pressure because the cross section of a passage is set according to the required power generation amount. Accordingly, in the fuel cell system, the pressure is secured and a reaction flow rate can be secured as well by controlling the air to an appropriate pressure even when the atmospheric pressure varies.
