Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device which produces a hydrogen/oxygen mixed gas efficiently with small electric power by dropping the ion resistance value between electrodes. SOLUTION: Elliptic electrodes provided with proximal sections and distal sections between the electrodes to supply an electrolyte from the distal sections to the proximal sections in order to make the ion resistance value lower than that of the conventional concentric electrodes is employed to provide a gas generating electrode which drops the ion resistance and has high efficiency. By forming the electrodes to the elliptic or rectangular shapes, the concentrated current flows to the partially approximated proximal sections of the electrodes and active electrolysis takes place, thereby generating water streams ascending together with air bubbles. The conversely descending water streams are generated in the proximal sections and the supply of the electrolyte to the proximal sections takes place easily. The ion resistance between the electrodes can be dropped by bringing the electrodes closer to each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
