PROTECTOR FOR WINGED NEEDLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for a winged needle that can surely avoid the occurrence of needling accidents or infection. SOLUTION: In this protector 7 for the winged needle which houses the winged needle 1 having a tube 6 at its tail end, a slit 9 is formed by cutting the peripheral wall of a cylindrical main body 8 of the protector 7 along the axial line from the front end and, at the same time, a groove 10 for wings, into which the winged needle 1 can be inserted in a state where both wings 5 of the needle 1 are opened, is formed continuously from the slit 9 by notching the peripheral wall of the main body 8 in the peripheral direction. The end edges 10a of the groove 10 for the wings in the peripheral direction are formed in inclined edges which are inclined toward the front end of the main body 8 in directions in which the edges 10a are separated from the slit 9. At the same time, a tube hooking section 11 is formed at the front end of the peripheral wall section of the main body 8 facing the slit 9 so that the tube 6 folded to the front end side of the main body 8 from the tail end of the main body 8 along the external surface on the slit 9 side of the main body 8 is freely hooked to the hooking section 11.
