ANTENNA AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press the tip side of a rib 3 against an antenna element for fixing the antenna element to a boom by providing the rib 3 inside a pipe of the boom, fixing the base portion side of the rib 3 to a pipe wall 4, setting the tip side 3b of the rib 3 to be a free end, and simply deforming the pipe wall of the boom. SOLUTION: The hollow tubular antenna element is allowed to pass through the hollow boom. Recesses are formed at both sides on a circumferential face at a portion positioned in the boom pipe of the antenna element. In the pipe of the boom, ribs are provided at both sides of the antenna element. The base side of the each rib is fixed to the pipe wall of the boom. Free end sides of the rib face the recesses formed at both sides of the pipe wall of the antenna element. The pipe wall of the boom is deformed for allowing the free end side of the rib to come into contact with the recess. The antenna element is fixed to the boom while the antenna element is clamped from both the sides. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
