Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing a coating liquid for forming a charge generating layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor, in which Y type titanyl phthalocyanine comminuted without generating A type titanyl phthalocyanine is dispersed by a dispersion method with a bead mill. SOLUTION: The bead mill is used for dispersing the coating liquid for forming the charge generating layer used in manufacture of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and the bead mill dispersion time is determined as follows: a dispersion is applied to a smooth surface to form a film, this film is observed with an optical microscope of 100-2,000 magnifications, and the dispersion time is determined from the number of coarse particles existing per unit area.
