Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily attach a lid member to a body member and to keep attaching strength high in the reel body of a spinning reel. SOLUTION: The reel body 2 of a spinning reel has the body member 2a and the lid member 2b which is detachably attached to the body member 2a and includes a rod fixing leg part 36. The body member 2a and the lid member 2b are formed in a tapered shape toward the rear. A cover member 38 is attached to the lower back parts of the body member 2a and the lid member 2b from the rear. The body member 2a and the lid member 2b are screwed shut by a screw 70 from the body member 2a side at the rear part of the body member 2a, screwed shut by tapping screws 71 and 72 from the lid member 2b at the upper part and the lower part of the body member 2a, so that the body member and the lid member are fixed and installed.
