DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver whereby a user can recognize how much a reception environment is deviated from a receivable reference value and what is a factor of making the reception impossible when the reception environment of digital broadcast is poor. SOLUTION: When the user selects a TV on a menu screen to select a TV channel, a communication/broadcast display screen is displayed. The communication/broadcast display screen (broadcast display section) 303 displays the contents themselves of the received terrestrial digital broadcast, and a communication display section 304 displays contents-related information and data broadcast or the like transmitted with the contents. When the user selects 'sensitivity', a broadcast/reception sensitivity display screen displays broadcast reception sensitivity in a way of a bar graph. When the broadcast cannot normally be received because the broadcast reception sensitivity is lower than a prescribed value, any of the display screens for the case when reception is impossible is displayed. When broadcast reception is impossible, the broadcast display section 303 displays positional information, a reception sensitivity parameter and a message on the reception conditions in place of broadcast contents.
