SOLUTION: A vial container 10 storing the liquid agent is irradiated from its under side by an illumination 16. The vial container 10 is image-picked up by the two CCD cameras 18a, 18b to read a reference image A before rotation, an image B after the rotation when rotated by one revolution, and a time-lapsed image C after a fixed time lapses after the rotation, in particular. The image processing is carried out by a data processor 36, the image B after the rotation is compared with the reference image A to detect the large foreign matter, and the time-lapsed image C is compared with the image B after the rotation to detect the small foreign matter discriminatingly from a flaw of the vial container 10.
