ELECTRIC POWER STEERING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make reducible the number of parts for reducing the backlash amount of a meshed part, make easily reducible the backlash amount, and make reducible a variation in a meshed state at the meshed part when a preload is applied to the meshed part. SOLUTION: In this electric power steering device, openings 53 and 54 facing the peripheral surfaces of rolling bearings 7 and 8 are formed in a housing 5 supporting a worm 3 rotated by a steering assist motor 1 through the rolling bearings 7 and 8. The power steering device comprises a pressing body 9 having two pressing parts 91 and 91 inserted into the openings 53 and 54 and elastically pressing the rolling bearings 7 and 8 so as to press the worm 3 against a worm wheel 4, a connection part 92 connecting the pressing parts 91 and 91 to each other, and a mounting part for positioning the connection part 92 on the outside of the housing 5 and installing on the housing 5.
