Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of selecting fish having disease-resistant character, and to provide seed thereof. SOLUTION: The method of selecting fish having disease-resistant character, specifically resistant to infection with Hetroboturium okamotoi, specifically Tetraodontiformes fish, is provided. This method comprises selecting the fish based on its body surface mucus pH of ≤6.3 or ≥6.6. The fish to be selected is such as to be raised as parent fish. This method is involved in a method of producing the seed of the fish having disease-resistant character with the same as parent fish. The seed is such as to be obtained with the above selected fish as parent fish, specifically being ≤6.3 or ≥6.6 in body surface mucus pH and preferably having resistance to infection with Hetroboturium okamotoi.
