Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator capable of using the serial data communication function of the USB for an application other than power supply to the ion generator. SOLUTION: An ion detecting means 17 detects the quantity of ion and outputs an ion quantity detection signal to a micro computer 7 which transmits the ion quantity detection signal that is inputted to a host (not shown in figure) through a USB driver receiver 6 and the data terminal of a USB connector 1.
