SOLUTION: The metal gasket 10 in a ring shape has an S-shaped longitudinal section consisting of a first flat part 11a, a C-shaped part 11e, an inverted C-shaped part 12e, and a second flat part 12a, among which at least two parts are subjected to a precision polishing, the first micro-curvature portion 11b continued from the first flat part 11a and the boundary 13 between it and the C-shaped part 11e and the second micro-curvature portion 12b continued from the second flat part 12a and the boundary 14 between it and the inverted C-shaped part 12e.
