Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat handrail preventing slipping down outside while dissolving aches caused by the contact of the wrist, elbow, or the like with a handrail when a person with weakened legs and loins walks while placing and sliding the palm of the hand and the lower arm on the handrail, and usable as a horizontal shelf until the handrail is needed. SOLUTION: One face of a handrail 1002 is provided with a finger guide comprising two projecting parts 1214, and a flat face 1211 having a certain degree of width. The position of the palm of the hand and the lower arm placed on the handrail can be confirmed by putting the finger tip or the like along a step 1213 between the projecting part 1214 and the flat face 1211, and the lower arm or the like can be prevented from slipping down outside by frictional resistance between the projecting part and the step. The other side of the handrail 1002 is formed as a horizontal face 1022, and when mounted to place the horizontal face on the upper face side, the handrail is usable as the horizontal shelf with no projecting part.
