EVALUATION METHOD FOR EVALUATING TRANSPARENCY OF SKIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating the transparency of a skin capable of well evaluating the transparency of the skin. SOLUTION: Skin surfaces of a plurality of spare subjects are irradiated with P polarized light or S polarized light, in the case that irradiating light is the P polarized light, S polarized reflecting light and in the case that irradiating light is S polarized light, P polarized reflecting light are received respectively, reflecting ratios are obtained, and the transparencies of the skins of the plurality of the spare subjects are evaluated using sensory evaluation by a visual sense, and the correlation between the reflecting ratio and the results of the evaluation is obtained (a preliminary step). Then, on a subject whose transparency of skin has not yet evaluated, similarly a reflecting ratios are obtained, and the transparency of the skin of the subject is evaluated based on the information of the above correlation (an evaluating step). The obtained reflecting ratio is caused by the reflecting light of defuse reflection, and has intensive regression relationship with the visual evaluation on the transparency of the skin.
