MOIRE ELIMINATION DEVICE, MOIRE ELIMINATION METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more elimination device and a more elimination method high in elimination effect of moire and less in degradation of image quality, and to provide a program therefor. SOLUTION: This moire elimination device is provided with an area selection means for selecting a target area and a diffusion processing part for replacing color difference components of a noticing pixel 37 with color difference components of other pixels in the selected target area. Blurring of an image quality is prevented and the moire is eliminated by replacing the color difference components of pixels in place of smoothing processing. In addition, change of saturation of an image is suppressed by replacing the color difference components without replacing brightness components of the pixels. Thus, by the moire elimination device, the elimination effect of the moire is high and the degradation of image quality is less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
