PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more effectively utilize multimedia contents by including personal information in the multimedia contents from other communication terminals. SOLUTION: The element data of a multimedia (MM) file received by the communication terminal disclosed herein includes not only media data such as melody tone data and images and character strings but also the name card information being the personal information including a caller terminal address information or the like of the MM file. The MM file and the name card information are stored in a file library 2F and an address directory 2A in cross-reference with each other by the address information, and the name card information can be used independently as a 'name card'. At the arrival of a call from the caller terminal corresponding to the stored MM file, the element data of the MM file in cross-reference with the address information corresponding to the caller terminal are read from the file library 2F and the data are reproduced as a ringer melody / call receiving picture or the like corresponding to the caller terminal.
