CROSS CONNECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross connection system which is capable of obtaining an optimal set condition quickly when switching due to a failure without having an adverse effect on paths which are not switched yet and possesses traffic of a high duty factor, and to provide its controlling method. SOLUTION: The switching of a plurality of cross connection switches which have the same configuration substantially as the hardware is set up in two-dimensional manner on the basis of a map representing an information transfer route structure and controlled, and the switches are operated from a first map to an information transfer route structure represented by a second map when the barrier is generated.
