SERVER AND COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make effective use of multimedia contents including personal information and prevent the personal information included in the contents from being leaked out to other terminals. SOLUTION: Multimedia (MM) files used in the communication terminal of the system each include not only media data such as ringtones but also the personal information including the address information of an MM file transmission source or the like. When a call arrives from the transmission source after the file is transmitted, the MM file is reproduced according to the address information. The MM file is generated on a server according to the instructions from the transmission source and the MM file to which forwarding-forbidden information is added is transmitted only to the communication terminal of a specific transmission destination designated by transmission destination information from the transmission source. In the communication terminal, the personal information including the address information is separated from the received MM file and stored in an address book 2A, and the MM file from which the personal information is separated is stored as an ringtone melody file in association with the address information in a library 2F.
