Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crankshaft bearing device of a V-engine having large load resistance, suitable for a high output/high speed engine, and allowing a reduction in size by an increase in the degree of freedom of the arrangement of a crankshaft and the other shafts. SOLUTION: The crankshaft bearing device of the V-engine comprises a crankcase divided into two right and left parts in the lateral direction. The crankshaft 23 is pivotally supported on the crankcase 14, and a plurality of cylinder assemblies 18F and 18R are arranged, in V-shape, parallel with the split faces 14a of the crankcase 14. An idler shaft 35 parallel with the crankshaft 14 is disposed above the crankshaft 14, and the crankshaft 14 is operably coupled to the idler shaft 35. The crankshaft 14 is pivotally supported on the crankcase 14 through metal bearings 45. The crankshaft 23 is operably connected to the idler shaft 35 near the metal bearings 45.
