DECORATIVE PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative paper which shows no fluffing with the surface properties such as mar resistance and a favorable suitability for lapping. SOLUTION: The decorative paper is manufactured by forming a pictorial design-printed layer 2 which is composed of a thermoplastic resin and/or a thermoset resin and contains no ionizing radiation-curable resin on one surface of a resin-permeable paper base material 1 and then a face resin layer 3 composed of the ionizing radiation-curable resin on the surface of the pictorial design-printed layer-forming side after forming a back resin layer 4 composed of a curable resin on the other surface. Thus it is possible to prevent the fluffing phenomenon from occurring by the back resin layer. Further, the favorable suitability for lapping is achieved by using the thermoplastic resin or the thermoset resin instead of using the ionizing radiation-curable resin as a resin for the pictorial design printing layer.
