PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the form of a chair according to situations to be suitable for having a meal or office work by raising the seat and reducing the angle of inclination of the seat at the time of meal or work, or to be suitable for relaxing by lowering the seat and increasing the angle of inclination of the seat at the time of relaxation. SOLUTION: The chair 1 has a front side link 13 disposed on the front side in the front/rear direction of the chair and a rear side link 15 disposed on the rear side. The lower end of the front side link 13 and the lower end of the rear side link 15 are rotatably connected to a member 12 fixed to a frame body of the chair 1, and the upper end of the front side link 13 and the upper end of the rear side link 15 are rotatably connected to the seat 21 disposed to be moved upward/downward. The chair is set so that the whole seat 1 moves downward and the angle of downward inclination of the rear part of the seat 1 is increased by inclining the front and rear side links 13 and 15 so that the upper ends thereof move rearward.
