OPTICAL FIBER HOLDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly select a proper optical fiber holder for fixing an optical fiber ribbon having a certain width with respect to optical fiber holders which allow optical fiber ribbons to be placed on arrangement parts of main body members thereof and press and fix the optical fiber ribbons by closing cover members. SOLUTION: An optical fiber holder 1 comprises a main body member 2 which has a placing part 6 having a width adapted to an optical fiber ribbon T having a prescribed width and allows the optical fiber ribbon T to be placed on the placing part to hold it and cover members 3 and 3 which are attached to the main body member 2 so as to be able to open and close and press and fix the optical fiber ribbon T placed on the placing part 6 when closed, and the whole or a part of the main body member 2 or cover members 3 is colored so that the width W of the placing part 3 provided in the main body member 2 can be discriminated. Thus a proper optical fiber holder 1 can be quickly selected to improve the working efficiency of the optical fiber ribbon T. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
