EXCAVATING/STIRRING DEVICE AND SOIL IMPROVEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating/stirring device easily lifted up from an excavated groove and improving the working efficiency and to provide a soil improvement method. SOLUTION: This excavating/stirring device is provided with a plurality of rotary means 20C, 20R and 20L liftably supported to a base machine. The respective rotary means 20c, 20R and 20L are provided with hydraulic motors 40C, 40R and 40L whose output parts with stirring vanes 23 are rotatable around fixed shafts 30C, 30R and 30L, and rotary shafts 21C, 21R and 21L connected to the output parts of the hydraulic motors 40C, 40R and 40L, being rotatable about shafts concentric with the fixed shafts 30C, 30R and 30L, having an excavation blade 22 in their lower parts and having the stirring vanes 23. This device is characterized in that, at least, one of the rotating means 20C, 20R and 20L has the excavation blade 22 in the upper part of the rotary shafts 21C, 21R or 21L.
