METHOD FOR PURIFYING TERPENE BISPHENOL COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a terpene bisphenol compound of high purity excellent in hue or a terpene bisphenol compound excellent in hue by a simple operation in a short time. SOLUTION: The purified terpene bisphenol compound is obtained (1) by dissolving a crude terpene bisphenol compound in a ketone or a phenol, subsequently causing crystallization, and separating the formed crystals, (2) by dissolving the crude terpene bisphenol compound in a mixture of at least two solvents selected from among aromatic hydrocarbons, alicyclic hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, ketones, alcohols, phenols, ethers and esters, subsequently causing crystallization, and separating formed crystals, or (3) by treating the crude terpene bisphenol compound with a solid decoloring agent.
