Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a primary coated optical fiber excellent in side pressure properties while controlling the variation of the coating diameter to ≤0.5 μm even in a high speed spinning at a linear velocity of >2,000 m/min. SOLUTION: A melt-spun primary optical fiber is coated with a resin to obtain the primary coated optical fiber. When the primary coated optical fiber is coiled via a turn pulley 21, the vibration of the turn pulley 21 is reduced to be ≤13 μm.
