Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a bacterium to be readily identified and detected at a low cost in high reliability, especially to enable the mechanism of the action thereof to be examined. SOLUTION: The method is carried out by forming a DNA microarray by immobilizing a genome DNA extracted from a specimen on a substrate, hybridizing the resultant microarray with a probe DNA having a base sequence peculiar to a well-known genome of the species of the bacterium. As a result, not only the species of the bacterium is accurately identified in a genome level, but also the cost is reduced and the time required for the detection is shortened by parallel assay. Two or more species are simultaneously identified and detected at once by hybridizing oligonucleotides labeled with different fluorochromes for each species with the array to extremely shorten the time required for the detection.
