Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for positioning an image sensor. SOLUTION: A lens mount assembly is provided with a substantially planar mounting surface 24 disposed substantially parallel to lens mount reference surface 22. The method includes the steps of constraining a mounting body 18 in a predetermined position, identifying a predetermined distance D measured along an axis 20 substantially perpendicular to the lens mount reference surface 22 from the lens mount reference surface 22 toward the mounting surface 24, coating the mounting surface 24 with an adhesives 28, applying the image sensor 26 to the adhesives 28 to position an image sensor 26 at the mounting position, and curing the adhesives 28 to securely mount the image sensor 26 to the mounting surface 24 at the mounting position.
