Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for which a more practical method for correcting a defect is easily and certainly applied and the method for correcting the defect by omitting a drawing process of an insulating film, preventing another short-circuitting in a wiring drawing process, making a drawn pattern a simple shape and preventing a wiring performance from lowering when correcting the defect. SOLUTION: A pixel electrode 4 is constructed by patterning a belt shaped specified part 4a so as to be positioned in the vicinity of an intersection 13 of a data bus line 1 and an auxiliary capacitor bus line 6 where short-circuitting/disconnection defects are anticipated. In correcting the defect, the data bus line 1 is cut off and separated with a laser beam at positions 2a, 2b interposing the intersection 13, an opening and connection are formed with a laser CVD method and the specified part 4a and the data bus line 1 are electrically connected.
