Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the composition and particle size of a nonmetallic inclusion in a metal sample, which generates a large amount of dissolusion residue by a chemical or electrochemical dissolving method, efficiently with an extremely high precision. SOLUTION: A mixture of dissolution residue and a metal paste, which is obtained by dissolving the metal sample by the chemical or electrochemical method using no strong acid, is irradiated with a laser beam to measure the composition and particle size of the nonmetallic inclusion in the dissolution residue by a laser excitation-ICP analyzing method.
