Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method for a silicon-containing aluminum alloy which can be used for a component with a complicated shape without causing environmental pollution in a production process and exhibits high durability to friction sliding. SOLUTION: A silicon-aluminum alloy is subjected to chemical polishing with an alkali polishing liquid. At this time, only the aluminum based metal part is chemically polished to form recessed parts. A part of the silicon particles is not polished and is left as projecting parts, so that a surface structure having a fine rugged shape is obtained. The projecting parts of the silicon particles are contacted with the other component surface, and the recessed parts of the aluminum based metal subjected to the chemical polishing exhibit satisfactory wear resistance by the storage of a lubricant.
