METHOD FOR CUTTING OF GRAFTING SEEDLING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cutting a grafting seedling, by which the stem portion of a stock seeding or scion seedling can simply and accurately be cut to give the cut seeding having a high percentage of rootage. SOLUTION: This method for cutting the grafting seedling is characterized by holding the root portion side of the stem portion SD of a stock seedling with a seedling-loading stage and a press mechanism, guiding a cutter mechanism in which a pair of obliquely cutting blades 32, 32 and a vertically cutting blade 33 are arranged in a Y-shaped cross section along a guide member 8 to direct both the obliquely cutting blades 32, 32 toward the stem SD, simultaneously moving the cutter mechanism so that the matched portion of the three cutting blades 32, 32, 33 and the vertical cutting blade 33 approximately passes through the axial line A of the stem portion SD, thereby cutting the stem portion SD so that the cut portion on the ear tip side and the cut portion on the root portion side have a V-shape and a Y-shape, respectively.
